Optimize Learning currently offers five workshops. Each workshop includes several dates for open registration by individuals or the opportunity to request a dedicated group session for a minimum of 12 participants from a university or college. Each facilitated workshop is delivered completely online. Participants receive individual, personalized feedback from an experienced coach on application activities throughout the learning experience and leave with an instructional product for their own course and strategies and tools they can continue to use in other courses. Promoting and Assessing Significant Learning

Use a process that works to design engaging learning assessments for a course of your own that will support achievement of your learning goals and outcomes and your assessment purposes. Select an assessment technique from 50 different learning assessment techniques (with instructions) and develop an assessment strategy and instructional activity that will enable you to evaluate student learning, analyze data and generate reports for your courses.

Significant Learning by Design (Part I) and
Significant Learning by Design (Part II)

Learn how to design courses that go beyond lecture, memorization, “teaching to the test” and other forms of “information in and information out” regardless of whether delivered face-to-face, blended/hybrid or totally online. Both Parts I and II of “Significant Learning by Design” focus on a model of course design developed by L. Dee Fink known as “integrated Course Design” that leads to greater student engagement and improved student learning.
